Worry is Like a Rocking Chair

It Gives You Something to Do, But Doesn't Get You Anywhere.

Cherry Ro...

People who continually worry about every detail of their lives are like a patient in a mental hospital who stood with her ear pressed against the wall.

"What are you doing?" an attendant asked with curiosity.

"Shhhh," the woman whispered, beckoning to the attendant to join her at the wall.

The attendant pressed her ear to the wall and stood there for several moments listening intently.  "I can't hear anything," she said.

"No," the patient replied with a furrowed brow.  "It's been like that all day!"

Some worry about what might be said.  Others worry about what hasn't been said.  Some worry about what might happen.  Others worry about what hasn't happened which should have happened by now.
Others worry about their futures while others fret over the consequences of their past.

We were created to live abundant lives in our minds, our bodies, and our spirit.  Like a flower we were meant to blossom, not to wither on the vine.

Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns) once and for all on Him; for He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully.
I Peter 5:7 AMP
