The Only Way To Have a Friend Is To Be One

A young family in the 1950's had just purchased their first television set.  All the neighbors gathered to help them put up the antenna on the roof of their home.  Since they had only the simplest of tools, they weren't making much progress.

Then a new neighbor and his wife showed up with a large elaborate tool box, filled with just about any gadget or tool one could imagine.  They had everything needed to install the antenna, which was up in near record time after their arrival.

The group of volunteers immediately went inside to see what kind of reception their neighbors would get on their new television set.  The picture was crystal clear!  Success was theirs!

As the neighbors stood around congratulating themselves on their fine work, they thanked their new neighbors for their valuable assistance.  One of the women asked, "What is it that you make with such a well-equipped tool box?"

The new neighbors smiled sincerely and replied with genuine warmth, "Friends."

A man that hath friends must show himself friendly.
