God Can Heal a Broken Heart, But He Has to Have All the Pieces

So many things of beauty begin as "bits and pieces:--not unlike our lives, which often seem like jigsaw puzzles with a multitude of scattered pieces.

Or the artist's collage.

Or a stained glass window.

Or a mosaic floor.

Tragedies and pain can strike any person, and we need to allow the Master Craftsman to put us back together according to His design, rather than trying to find all the pieces and glue ourselves together without Him.

In The Dark Night of the Soul, Georgia Harkness writes, "The Christian faith imparts meaning to life.  A living faith that is centered in God as revealed in Christ takes our chaotic, disorganized selves, with their crude jumble of pleasures and pains, and knits them together into a steadiness and joy that can endure anything with God."

Trust God today to turn your brokenness into something of beauty and value.

My son, give me thine heart.
Proverbs 23:26
