GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED

Yesterday I gave you GREAT TRUTHS THAT KIDS HAVE LEARNED.  Today I give you what adults have learned.  The lessons are different, of course, but I believe that age doesn't make that much difference--young or old, we are all God's children and we CHOOSE to be and see what we will, we choose to laugh at life or not.  I choose to laugh---most of the time.

1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.

2) Wrinkles don't hurt.

3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts.

4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.

5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.

6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the

toy.

Pass this on to someone who could use a laugh.

Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;

BUT NEVER
forget the blessings that come each day.

Have a wonderful day with many *smiles.*

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.

Birthdays Are Good For You, Statistics Show That the People Who Have the Most Live the Longest

There once was a woman who, upon seeing her hair turn gray, decided she must be getting old.  She immediately slowed her pace, refused to wear bright colors, tried to act more sedated, and began to wear "sensible shoes."  She let her hair grow long and put it up in a bun on her head, wore long sleeves to cover what she was sure must be unsightly "old lady" arms, and could often be heard telling friends who asked how she was doing, "I suppose I'm doing as well as could be expected for a person my age."

One day she overheard a teenager ask a friend, "How old is Miss Tilly?"  The friend said, "Well, from the way she looks and acts, I'd say she's at least 65 or 70."  The woman was shocked--they were talking about her and she was only 55!  She decided she was looking far too old for her years and immediately shifted into reverse.  Bright colors, high heels, and more stylish clothes rejoined her closet. She cut her hair and used a rinse to color the gray.  Several months later, a 48-year-old man asked her out and wouldn't believe her when she told him her age.

She concluded, "Fifty-five is a better speed limit than age limit."

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
