Let's Just Love

This time around I just
want to love you
the way you and I
so well
know how

We are so good at this part too
this thing where we love each
other so much that we are
laughing the whole
lifetime
at
ourselves and at each other
but mostly with joy

We've done the other so many times
that thing where we can't
stand each other
or kill each other
or someone the other loves
in order to make
hurt come back alive

This time
let's just love

GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED

Yesterday I gave you GREAT TRUTHS THAT KIDS HAVE LEARNED.  Today I give you what adults have learned.  The lessons are different, of course, but I believe that age doesn't make that much difference--young or old, we are all God's children and we CHOOSE to be and see what we will, we choose to laugh at life or not.  I choose to laugh---most of the time.

1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.


2) Wrinkles don't hurt.


3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts.


4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.


5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.


6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the

toy.

Pass this on to someone who could use a laugh.



Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;


BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.
